What’s new

Our Training Needs Analysis tool continues to be popular with local businesses

At Services to Business we have specialised trained staff who can visit your company on an informal basis, at no cost to you, to discuss any areas of skills that we can offer which may help your staff to carry out their roles. We can also discuss any aspects of funding which can be available for you. Our ‘TNA’ looks at recognising any gaps between the skills your business needs and those your employees have. Call us on 01924 789715 to book an appointment or click here for details.

Leading Figure Talks To Local Businesses Through Services To Business

Services to Business recently welcomed David Orrell, Regional Manager of Skills For Logistics, as guest speaker at their recent Logistics Breakfast Meeting. The event, which took place at the Whitwood Campus, attracted some of the biggest names in the District’s Logistics sector.

Logistics NVQ Manager Brian Tear said “We are highly delighted that someone of such high standing as David agreed to come and talk to logistics companies in our area. It was a great opportunity for these firms to meet one of the leading figures on the topic of legislation and discuss how it will affect their business.”

BCS Keyboarding - The Route To Employment

We have recently been involved in a successful Skills Fund Project in partnership with Calderdale College which provided unemployed individuals keyboarding skills to enable them to find suitable employment.

During 2007, E-Type was the fastest growing British Computer Society Qualification. By learning to touch type with all fingers, a typical PC user spending 20 hours a week at a PC, could save around 10 hours a week!
