Training and Development
We offer a range of programmes that develop the skills, knowledge and experience for the professional trainer, assessor, verifier or teaching assistant.
Assessor and Verifier Programmes
If you or your staff have a wealth of experience and knowledge, have you considered our assessor and verifier awards?

With the assessor award, staff can assess NVQ learners.

If you are already an assessor, why not consider becoming an internal verifier?

Assessor Award A1 and A2 (City & Guilds 7317)
This course is for anyone who is involved in NVQs and wishes to train as an NVQ assessor. The A1 Award is for the Vocational assessor and the A2 is for those who only wish to act as qualified NVQ Observer assessors.

Internal Verifier Award V1 (City & Guilds 7317)
This programme is for anyone who wishes to qualify as an internal verifier and is involved in monitoring and evaluating internal NVQ assessment systems.

Professional Trainer Certificate (CIEH)
This three-day programme aims to practically enable successful candidates to understand and put into practice how training can best be delivered to secure effective learning, how to structure and design training sessions and how to make training sessions interesting, stimulating and relevant

NVQ 3 in Learning and Development
The NVQ Level 3 in Learning and Development is designed for those who deliver and/or develop learning and development programmes and those who support learners.

NVQ Level 4 in Learning and Development
The NVQ Level 4 in Learning and Development is designed for those who are responsible for delivering training and development in the workplace, or in training establishments.

NVQ Level 4 in Management of Learning and Development Provision
The NVQ Level 4 in Management of Learning and Development provision is designed for practising managers who are responsible for the management of learning and development. It does not require "hands on" activity with learners. Initial assessment with a College advisor will assist in determine the suitability of prospective candidates.

Supporting Teaching and Learning NVQ Level 2
This programme is for people who support teachers in schools and who work largely under supervision. Candidates need to achieve 4 mandatory plus 3 optional units. The mandatory units include helping with classroom resources; help with the care and support of pupils; provide support for learning activities and provide effective support for your colleagues.

Supporting Teaching and Learning NVQ Level 3
Level 3 denotes competence which involves the application of knowledge and skills in a broad scope of varied activites, performed in a variety of contexts, most of which are complex and not routine. There is considerable responsibilty and autonomy at this level.

Trainer Master Class
Three hour seminars exploring topics important to people experienced in delivering training and those just starting to carry out the activity.
