NVQ Level 2: Health & Social Care This award is for anyone who works in residential homes, nursing homes, day units or cares for service users who are disabled or have learning difficulties, including older children. There are four mandatory units dealing with communication skills, self development, health & safety and the support, protection and well being of individuals; and a further two optional units chosen to fit the needs of the job being undertaken.

There are four mandatory units dealing with communication skills, health & safety, self development and choice, well being and the protection of individuals; and a further four optional units chosen to fit the needs of the job being undertaken.
C&G NVQ Level 4: Health & Social Care (Adults or Caring for Children & Young People)This programme is suitable for those people wanting a higher level, work-based qualification. Candidates will already be working at a management level in a care setting such as residential/day care for adults, people with disabilities, children and young people. There are four mandatory units including methods & systems of communication; development of healthy/sage practices within the workplace; staff appraisal and self development; developing practices promoting choice, well being and protection of individuals and four optional units chosen to fit the needs of the job being undertaken.
Leadership and Management for Care NVQ Level 4This programme is for the registered managers of care services for older people, those with learning difficulties or physical disabilities and those with mental ill health. There are four mandatory units mainly dealing with the skill required to manage a care service, plus a further six optional units that fit the needs of the job being undertaken.
NCFE Certificate in Dementia AwarenessThis is a distance learning programme ideal for those working in a health or care setting who wish to improve their knowledge and understanding of the condition of dementia and how to apply the principles of person-centred dementia care.
