Holding HandsWe are specialists in providing high quality training and qualifications for the care sector. Most of our courses are work-based, supported by taught sessions and some are offered via Distance Learning.

Our trainers understand the needs and demands of the sector and keep up to date with legislative changes and cutting edge work practices.
Understanding The Care Sector
Because we specialise in training for the care sector, we understand that having a qualified, well trained workforce is not only a requirement under the National Minimum Standards, it is also essential for running an effective care home. We also understand that training staff can be one of the biggest costs associated with running your business and that’s why we provide training that is flexible, cost effective and fits in with the operational needs of your service.

As we specialise in care we have all the knowledge of the sector we need to give you the confidence to choose us to provide your training. We understand the legislation, the operational aspects of running a care home, the time and cost pressures and the standards of care you are aiming to exceed. We work with the full range of care-based organisations and have strong links with professional and funding bodies, which ensures we are up to date and can access appropriate funding to support the cost of your training.
Why Choose Us?
• All our trainers are occupationally qualified professionals, who maintain their standards of practice through continuing professional development and regular work within the sector.

Case Studies- Carleton Lodge
Carleton Lodge is a Normanton-based company who provide care and supported living for clients with learning disabilities. The Manager, Jill, needed to meet the regulations set out by the Care Standards Commission which requires all staff to have or be working towards an NVQ in Health and Social Care by April 2007. Jill has herself achieved health-related qualifications through the College and she approached Services to Business to train her staff. With the dedicated help from vocationally professional advisers through Services to Business her staff undertook the training and have been successful in achieving their awards. Services to Business provided the training in College and work based sessions which worked around the companies needs.

“Services to Business have provided a consistently high standard of learning with the care staff that has worked around a variety of shift working times. The training was provided in groups and on a one-to-one basis. They linked the staff with other training needs and provided a holistic approach to my business where required. There was always a friendly voice to offer advice and guidance. I myself as the manager have undertaken training with Services to Business and have been able to start my nurse training. A big thank you to Services to Business”
Case Studies- The Old Vicarage
The Old Vicarage is a residential care home for the elderly and EMI (elderly mentally ill). They have worked with Services to Business for a period of time to achieve Health NVQ’s. The business was recently bought by a new family who reviewed existing training programmes. The Singh family contacted Services to Business with a keen interest to continue working with them for their training needs. The manager, Jean, regularly contacts Services to Business to allocate training to her staff.

“The training provided by Services to Business was tailored to meet the needs of the company. We have invested training into staff who work difficult hours. Services to Business acknowledged this and worked with us to gain the qualification. The support was given in a college and work based environment. I really saw the benefit of this as all the staff were able to utilise the professional guidance that was ready and waiting”.
