Wakefield College are celebrating the news that we have been awarded Training Quality Standard accreditation recently introduced by the Learning and Skills Council (LSC) to recognise and celebrate those organisations which excel in delivering training and development solutions to employers. The College joins an exclusive group of only two providers in Yorkshire and 26 providers nationally who have achieved the standard in the first batch of entries. Manager of Services to Business, the College’s commercial training arm, Sarah Johnson, said: "We are thrilled to be one of the first providers in the country to achieve the new standard, and in particular to be one of only two accredited providers in Yorkshire. “The rigorous assessment process was extremely challenging and our success demonstrates the expertise and commitment of our staff and their ability to effectively meet the needs of employers. The accreditation process involved substantial feedback from our customers and I was delighted with the overwhelmingly positive response they gave to the services we deliver for them." The Training Standard Award joins an already extensive list of accolades achieved by the College in recent years. As well as holding Customer First accreditation and the Investors in People Award, the College also has Centre of Vocational Excellence (CoVE) awards in Enterprise Management and Computer technology. |
