Interested in marketing? Want to improve your overall knowledge in this area? Try this new course starting December '07. No previous knowledge of marketing needed!

Gain a valuable insight into the processes involved in marketing. Ideal for those who wish to start to improve their marketing skills, or simply understand the foundations of this area.

Perfect for owner managers/ SME business, or those who wish to develop staff in marketing principles.

The course is divided into two sections:
The Essentials of Marketing (concepts)
The Application of Marketing (applications)

Participants will:

- Learn essential concepts of Marketing like the 4 P's
- Appreciate the importance of marketing and be able to apply it in real life business situations
- Understand what marketing is and why it is important to plan
- Recognise the importance of responding to the business environment
- Value the benefits and techniques of gathering information
- Discover how to find customers through target marketing and segmentation
- Understand the basic differences in marketing applications across sectors
- Be able to apply a basic knowledge of the marketing tools and identify best practice

There are 15 places per course.

Length of course: 13 weeks

Fee: £250 per person per course. Free parking available, located 5 minutes from Wakefield City Centre.

Arrival/Registration is at 5.30pm for a 6.00pm start.
