"Training accompanied by coaching can improve performance by 88%"*What is Coaching?Coaching is not the same as consulting and counselling. It is focused on a person’s life in all its aspects and it comes from the point of view that any individual, whether on their own or working as part of a team, can achieve their goals and vision; creating the life they really want. It is about success in everything you do.
Coaching at Wakefield CollegeWakefield College has a wealth of strategies, techniques and materials to support you and your teams in creating positive results in life and business whether it is a matter of being ‘stuck’ with a specific problem, starting out on new initiatives or creating different results from those you/they are creating at this moment.
We will work with individual clients or groups to take creative and innovative approaches to development whether in business or life in general. Where counselling and therapy mostly deal with emotional issues and look back to the past, a coach deals with where you are now and where you want to go.
We will help you and your teams to:
- solve problems
- develop a vision
- plan strategically
- act!
As well as:
- maintain a healthy balance between personal and professional life
- help everyone to keep looking ahead to take advantage of opportunities which are just now formulating
- bring out everyone’s personal best, keeping focused on individual needs and vision as well as what is necessary to move the team forward
Why does it work?We will work with you and your teams on a regular basis. As a starting point we will listen fully to what is said (and what is not said!) and then share ideas, comments, views and (very ocasionally) advice on situations or opportunities. Working with us will support everyone to develop new ways of taking action and new ways of seeing the situations you live and work in. In order to do this we have the skill to ask the incisive questions that will enable individuals to challenge their own assumptions about themselves and their lives, freeing them to think, feel and act in new ways. We are also skilled in supporting clients to set goals and reach them skilfully and effectively.
Our CoachesDavid TaylorAnn FinnStructureThe coaching offered by the CoVE at Wakefield College comes in three different forms:
1. Face-to-face coaching sessions. Normally two hours every couple of weeks.
2. Telephone coaching (telecoaching). Two 45–minute sessions per month plus additional email materials.
3. A combination of the above.
4. Team Coaching is also part of the package we offer, a powerful tool to support teams on particular projects or as part of their general development and to increase their creativity and innovation. This method is a powerful way to create results in your business.
The investment for Option 1 is £1200 for six two-hour sessions.
The investment for Option 2 is £850.00 per individual for a six-month programme.
The investment for Option 3 depends upon the package we agree between us.
For Team Coaching and Project Support, fees will be calculated based on the nature of the programme we agree.
Assessment Software The coaching programmes are underpinned by suites of cutting edge online assessment software called PeopleScan™. This suite of assessments provides the coach and client with a range of information for individuals and teams covering their core values, change state indicators, thinking styles and the vision they are creating for change. It enables interventions with individuals, teams and whole organisations to be made at a deep level where they will achieve maximum impact rather than simply working on the surface.
