Services to Business is the part of Wakefield College that focuses on the needs of companies. Over a century of experience enables us to provide excellent business training solutions, employee training, staff development and training in West Yorkshire. We provide easy access to training services and business support that can make a real difference to your bottom line, be it for trainees or new employees through to supervisor training and top management. We can also offer routes to apprenticeships and are one of the largest providers of NVQs in West Yorkshire. We are one of a small number of training providers in the UK that have the Training Quality Standard. Find out more about us.

We provide a wide range of flexible business services, offering excellent scheduled and customised courses, working around your goals. These vary from short courses (First Aid) through to post graduate, professional qualifications. We also offer business development coaching. We are a non-profit organisation, so our rates are very competitive and we can often access Government funding to help pay for your training.

Exciting New Flexibilities Introduced for Train to Gain

If you already have a Level 2 equivalent qualification, you may still be able to do a second NVQ Level 2 free of charge and if you are under 25 years old, you may be able to do your first NVQ Level 3 free of charge.

We also have a number of top quality locations for training within the Wakefield and Castleford areas. Thornes Park Campus is situated 10 minutes from Wakefield's City Centre, with the main Wakefield Campus at Wakefield College situated in the heart of the city's Civic Centre. Our base at the Whitwood Campus, Castleford will shortly be replaced by the exciting Skills Xchange in early 2009, offering modern, state of the art facilities.
